
Meet Jody Bergeron, MSSW
Jody Bergeron is an Education Advocate with over 27 years of experience in securing appropriate educational services for children with disabilities. She has represented many families to provide a successful outcome for their student.
As a leader in the field, Jody’s expertise is serving people with disabilities statewide. Her creative approach to problem-solving, in conjunction with her extensive experience in working across disabilities, has resulted in the development of unique and truly Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for the students she serves. She is dedicated to helping parents feel included and valued in the IEP process.
Jody has a strong educational background, with a Bachelor of Science with an emphasis in special education from the University of Houston-Clear Lake and a Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas-Austin. She is a certified teacher K-12, and a former behavior special education teacher. She has served as Behavior Specialist, Special Education Coordinator who managed life skills and behavior programs, and Special Education Transition Coordinator who prepared students for their post-secondary education and employment.
She participates in hundreds of meetings including IEP Meetings, 504 meetings, parent consultations, and other related meetings. As a life-long learner, she is committed to keeping current with her profession by regularly attending seminars and workshops.
